Abstract

A 4-year-old, thoroughbred mare showed clinical signs of back pain and weakness of both hindlimbs. Kissing- Spines-Syndrome (KSS) of the T14-16 dorsal spinous processes were diagnosed from clinical examination and radiography. The horse returned to training after three months and to racing in five months after paralesional betamethasone injections.
