The factors are related to unwanted pregnancy, including sexuality resulting from use of alcohol, lack of knowledge about contraception, and misunderstanding about contraception. Unplanned pregnancy impacts physical health of adolescent mothers and their infants, psychological health, families, economic status, and social aspects. In terms of prevention and surveillance of unwanted pregnancy in adolescents, educational institutions, health services, families, local government organizations, and communities should use various strategies, including 1) provide effective sex education, 2) provide friendly contraceptive and reproductive health services, 3) communicate about pregnancy prevention with adolescents appropriately, 4) provide an area for displaying creative thinking of adolescents, and 5) monitor risk behavior of pregnancy among adolescents in communities.</p> ER -
