The samples were 76 ESRD patients treated by hemodialysis (HD) and continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) procedure at Phraphutthabat Hospital, Saraburi Province. Data were collected from April to September, 2016. Statistics used for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and independent t-test.

The research results revealed that the HD patients and the CAPD patients had the overall mean scores of quality of life at the moderate level (= 67.56, SD = 10.61 and = 68.15, SD = 10.07, respectively). The overall and each dimension of mean scores of quality of life between the HD patients and the CAPD patients were not statistically significant different.

This research suggested that health care services should support the CAPD devices for CAPD patients and physicains or health care providers should give health education to control waste products to patients with ESRD.
ER -
