Participants were 50 pregnant women who received service at Prapokklao Hospital, Chanthaburi Province and were equally divided into an experimental group (n = 25) and a control group (n = 25). The research instruments included the preventing rUTI program, the demographic questionnaire and record form, and the preventive behavior of UTI during pregnancy questionnaire with the reliability of .80. The implementation and data collection were conducted from June to August, 2018. Data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Chi-square test, Fisher’s exact test, independent t-test, Mann-Whitney U test, paired t-test, and ANCOVA.

The research results revealed that after the experiment, the experimental group had statistically significant higher mean score of preventive behavior of UTI than that of before the experiment (t = 12.520, p < .001) and higher than that of the control group (F = 39.870, p < .001).

This research suggests that antenatal care nurses should apply this preventing rUTI program to care for pregnant women. This would promote pregnant women to have appropriate preventive behavior of UTI in order to prevent UTI or rUTI.
}, number={1}, journal={Journal of Phrapokklao Nursing College, Chanthaburi}, author={Saetang, Kannikar and Suppaseemanont, Wantana and Deoisres, Wannee}, year={2020}, month={Jun.}, pages={81–92} }
