This descriptive research The objective of this study was to compare health literacy and health care behaviors of 337 diabetic patients without complications in Sub-district Amnat Charoen Province with a simple random sampling method. Data were collected using a behavioral questionnaire. The researcher’s interview form created Health literacy and health care behavior. They had reliability 0.73 and 0.68 respectively. Fisher’s Exact Test analyzed data. The results revealed that most of the samples graduated from primary school, had a career in farming, and were health literacy at a reasonable level. To be considered in each aspect; Access to health information, health services, health communication, Self-management, and media and information literacy were at a reasonable level, Including knowledge understanding of health in both groups. However, health literacy and health care behaviors of the diabetic patients without and with complications were at good and harmful levels, respectively; it was also found that health literacy, and health care behaviors of diabetic patients without complications were statistically related (p-value ≤ 0.05). In comparison, health literacy perceived between Diabetic patients with complications and without complications was statistically different (p-value ≤ 0.05).
