Due to the coronavirus epidemic (COVID-19), society has changed its way of life (a ‘new normal’). It has become routine to stay at home to stop the spread of infection for the nation and to work from home. Keeping people at home, refraining from traveling, and not going out to buy products in department stores or flea markets has resulted in people ordering food delivered to them. This delivery of products results in increased plastic waste in almost all areas. Inaction to correct the problem, inevitably affects humans and the environment. Also, used mask waste is considered infectious waste. When disposed of with municipal wastes, discarded masks can spread the virus to garbage collectors. There is an increased risk of infection with COVID-19. When masks are disposed of by improper means, they may increase the chance that the infection will spread to people in the community.</p>}, number={2}, journal={Journal of Public Health Nursing}, author={Kamvanin, Siriporn and Noosorn, Narongsak}, year={2020}, month={Aug.}, pages={144–157} }
