Participatory development process and Donabedian’s system theory was used as the study framework. Mason’s criterion for standards of care was applied for guideline validity measurement. The results revealed more than 90% of discomfort management for MgSO4injection and hot flash were achieved. However, it was unlikely to evaluate nursing activities for headache and nausea/vomiting as only some of the women had the symptoms. Despite the implementing results, the labour staff suggested that the guideline should remain to cover the 4 parts so that the women with headache and/or nausea/vomiting will be thoroughly taken care of while further re-evaluation are being conducted. The pregnant women reported high to very high level of satisfaction toward the care they received for discomfort management.}, number={2}, journal={Journal of Nursing Science and Health}, author={Jaikwang, Orathai and Srisaeng, Pakvilai}, year={2014}, month={Feb.}, pages={36–45} }
