The Effect of Information Program on Maternal Perception And Self Care Behavior for Children with Pneumonia in Khaosuankwang Hospital KhonKaen Province

This study was a qausi-experimental research . The objective of the research was to study the effect ofinformation program on maternal perception and self caring behavior for children with pneumonia in KhosuankwangHospital. The sample group, obtained through purposive sampling, consisted of 20 mothers of children under5 years diagnosed being sick of pneumonia, admitted as in-patients of in-patient ward, Khaosuankwang hospital, Khon Kaen province as of the criterion. The tool for data collection was the questionnaire form formaternal perception and self care behavior for children with pneumonia, provided according to content reviewunder inspection of 3 qualified inspectors with reliability value of 0.85 and 0.92 as on Cronbachís AlphaCoefficient. Data analyzing was done by percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test.The study outcome appeared :1. After the experiment, the experimental group gained higher average score on maternal perception andself caring behavior for children with pneumonia than the controlled group at statistical significance of 0.01.2. After the experiment, the experimental group gained higher average score on maternal perception andself caring behavior for children with pneumonia than before the experiment at statistical significance of 0.01.Downloads
