Grounded Theory Methodology was used to conduct this study by utilizing in-depth interview questions among 21 participants, at a tertiary hospital in Northern Thailand.</p><p>The finding found that “Desiring for baby healthy and survival” was the core category of the transitional process among Thai women who are becoming motherhood of high-risk pregnant women during hospitalization which was divided into three phases: troubling with high-risk pregnancy and hospitalization phase, sustaining for baby survival phase, and the coping with uncertain outcomes phase. Women used various strategies to manage their concerns and needs during each phase’s category.</p><p>This study added new knowledge about becoming a Thai mother of high-risk pregnant women including information about their concerns and needs and strategies. They can utilize it to manage their concerns and needs. A better understanding of these experiences will enable midwives, and health care professionals to assist, and provide appropriate care for high-risk pregnant women and hospitalization.</p> ER -
