The samples were numbness by plantar massaging with palm kernel shell combining with drug treatment. This research was conducted in Chumsang Hospital and Health Promoting Hospitals of Chumsang district, Nakhonsawan Province. The 41 patients with Diabetes Mellitus Type II who had numbness were recruited by using the inclusion criteria. The treatments were plantar massaging using palm fruit at one time a day (evening or before bedtime) and drug treatment for 8 weeks.
The questionnaires include the general data form and the record form for Monofilament 10 gm. measuring. The statistics applied for data analysis were descriptive, paired t-test, and repeated measurement One-way ANOVA.
The study finding illustrated that using the plantar massaging by palm kernel shell and drug treatment was significantly decreased the numbness in patients with Diabetes Mellitus Type II who had numbness (p ≤.001) except the level of fasting blood sugar and haemoglobin A1c.
Conclusion, the study is the benefit for the patients with Diabetes Mellitus Type II who using the plantar massaging with palm kernel shell as the activity in a daily life. The further research for reducing the blood sugar and hemoglobin A1c is needed.
ER -
