The 75 first year nursing students of the academic year 2021 were recruited to participate in the study. The research instruments comprised: 1) the Thought Reflection Learning Model 2) A systemic thinking questionnaire with Cronbach Alpha of 0.83. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Paired t-test.

The results revealed that 1) before using the Thought Reflection Learning Model, nursing students reported overall systemic thinking at a high level ( = 46.12) and after using the model was at a very high level (= 62.75). The comparison of systemic thinking scores before and after using the thought reflection learning model showed that the mean score after using the model was significantly higher than before at .001 level.

It can be concluded that the Thought Reflection Learning Model was successful to develop a systemic thinking process.
}, number={1}, journal={Journal of Nurses Association of Thailand Northern Office}, author={Khiaolueang, Dujduean}, year={2022}, month={Jun.}, pages={53–67} }
