The nicotine dependent smokers were divided into 2 groups: Bimin 2 and placebo group. The nicotine independent smokers had different characteristics from nicotine dependent smokers such as education, the first smoking time after wake up in the morning, the frequency of smoking in the first hour after wake up and number of cigarettes per day. The volunteers in Bimin 2 group could stop smoking 45.5% and 77.8% in placebo group. In this study showed that Bimin 2 was not efficient for smoking cessation. The withdrawal symptoms were not serious effects and declined from the beginning to the end of treatment.
