Abstract

An anesthetic alkamide, (2E,4E,8Z,10E)-N-isobutyl-2,4,8,10-dodecatetraenamide (1) and fixed oil were isolated from the arial part of the toothache plant, Acmella oleracea (L.) R.K. Jansen. Structure elucidation of 1 was achived by analysis of 1H- and 13C-NMR experiments and comparison of the spectral data with published values. This is the first time to report 1 from A. oleracea (L.) R.K. Jansen. Additionally, fatty acids determination in lipid was obtained by GC.
