Sample consisted of 106 hypertensive patient in Huahin Hospital, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, formed by a simple random sampling technique. Constructed questionnaires were used to collect data. The data were analyzed for percentage, mean, standard deviation, Chi-square test, Pearson's product moment correlation co-efficient and multiple regrenion were used to analyzing all data. The study reveals bio-social factors that significantly related to self-care behaviors (p=.05) among hypertensive patient are age, marital status, career, average income per month and level of blood pressure. Perception of hypertension has positively related to self-care behavior of hypertensive patient at statistically significant .01. The factors that can combined to statistically significant predict self-care behavior is factor of hypertension perception and explain deviation of self-care behavior in overall image at 10.7 % This research is suggested that health educator should use the appropriate health education media and health behavior development program for hypertensive patients in age, for example, using mixed media which has large and clear both picture and letters for clearly understanding in 60 years-old and upper patients' age range. Group learning is important in exchange knowledge between patients as well as promote self-motivation for patients.</p> ER -
