A total of 95 chronic kidney disease caregivers participated in this study. Data were collected by using self-report questionnaire, including general information of the patients and caregiver, chronic kidney knowledge knowledge test, Beck Depression Inventory (Thai version) and Zarit Burden Interview (Thai version). The statistics, including percentage, mean, standard deviation, chi-square and binary logistic regression analysis were applied for evaluation.</p> <p>Results: The prevalence of caregiver burden  was 60 percent. The factors significantly related to caregiver burden  were: time since the onset of illness, number of drugs the patient has taken , inadequate income, number of hours of caregiving service , time since the onset of caregiving service , inadequate income, all these with statistical significance P < 0.05. The factors predicting stress were  number of hours of caregiving service , time since the onset of caregiving service.</p> <p>Conclusion: The prevalence of caregiver burden  was more than half . The result of this study make healthcare providers and multidisciplinary teams  aware of the importance of caregivers .
