The research samples were 275 patients who had an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) between 31 and 90 ml/min/1.73 m2. A cluster random sampling technique was used to obtain the participants. For research materials, four self-administered questionnaires including demographic data form, CKD Self-Efficacy Health Literacy Scale-14, and Chulalongkorn Family Inventory were used to collect the data. Their Cronbach’s alpha reliabilities were .95, .80, and .83, respectively. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and multiple regression at statistical significance level, p &lt; .05. The result showed that family functioning and health literacy had direct positive effects on self-efficacy. Moreover, family functioning and health literacy explained 54% of total variance in self-efficacy among patients with early stage of chronic kidney disease.</p> ER -
