The objective is to follow up on the competencies of nurse practitioners attended the 4-month primary medical care nurse practitioner program at Boromarajonani College of Nursing Bangkok. The sample was a total of 66 which comprised 43 graduated nurse practitioners and 23 supervisors of them. The research instruments included 1) the nurse practitioner competency evaluation scale on primary medical care and 2) the satisfaction questionnaire of supervisor towards nurse practitioner competency on primary medical care.</p> <p>Results at 1-year post training showed that self-perception of nurse practitioners on the overall competency regarding primary care practice was at good level (Mean = 3.93, S.D. = 0.68). 1) Perceptions of supervisors towards the overall competency of nurse practitioners on primary medical care was at good level (Mean = 4.16, S.D. = 0.56). The comparison of mean scores between self-perceived competency of nurse practitioners and competency perceived by supervisors was not significantly different (t = 1.48, p = .72). 2) The satisfaction of supervisors towards nurse practitioner competency on primary medical care was at very high level (Mean = 4.36, S.D. = 0.50).</p> <p>In conclusion, these satisfactory findings support the effectiveness of the primary medical care nurse practitioner training program hosted by Boromarajonani College of Nursing Bangkok In managing the curriculum, research results should be used as the basis for planning for future curriculum development.</p>}, number={3}, journal={Journal of The Royal Thai Army Nurses}, author={Tipkanjanaraykha, Kitsanaporn and Saleekul, Sumlee}, year={2020}, month={Dec.}, pages={76–85} }
