The data<br />were analyzed by using spearman correlation.<br />Results: Mean score of nine dimensions of emotional intelligence was within normal range. Extracurricular activities, self-study from the internet and standard textbooks, sharing trouble situations with friends from different faculties, number of siblings, economic status and good family relationship were positively correlated with many aspects of emotional intelligence.
