The data were collected in March–June 2018. Random sampling method was used of which consisted of 274 high-risks overweight patients on type 2 diabetes mellitus. Pender’s Health-Promotion Behaviors Model was used as a conceptual framework to develop questionnaires. The instruments were tested for Item-Congruence Index between 0.6-0.8. Pearson correlation coefficient was used for data analysis. </p> <p>The results of the study were as follows: (1) The high-risks overweight population for type 2 diabetes mellitus had fair level of health-promotion behaviors. (2.) Perceived benefit of health promotion, perceived self–efficacy and perceived health-status had moderate level of health promotion behaviors; perceived barriers-to-action had high level of health-promotion behavior; perceived self–efficacy had significant positive correlation with health promotion behavior by 0.01, and perceived health status had significant negative correlation with health-promotion behavior by 0 .05.</p>}, number={1}, journal={HCU Journal}, author={Tantinantrakun, Supaporn}, year={2020}, month={Jun.}, pages={42–53} }
